Pamela Gilbert, Legislative Counsel & Executive Director

Pamela Gilbert, Partner at Cuneo Gilbert & LaDuca LLP, serves as Legal Representative and Executive Director for the Committee to Support Antitrust Laws.  Pamela has over 35 years of experience in advocacy work in Washington, DC. She has testified over 50 times and has made dozens of appearances in the national print and electronic media.  Most recently, Pamela has represented COSAL in successful efforts to preserve the Antitrust Criminal Penalty Enhancement and Reform Act (ACPERA) that provide reduced damages for antitrust violators who provide full and timely cooperation to private plaintiffs. COSAL Legislative Counsel Pamela Gilbert also serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Antitrust Institute.

Deborah Elman, President

Deborah Elman is a partner at Garwin Gerstein & Fisher LLP, where her practice focuses on all aspects of complex antitrust litigation.

She is a frequent speaker on topics involving class actions and expert witnesses.

Greg Asciolla, Past President

Greg Asciolla is a partner in DiCello Levitt’s New York office where he focuses on representing businesses, public pension funds, and health and welfare funds in complex antitrust and commodities class actions, including price-fixing, monopolization, commodities manipulation, pay-for-delay agreements, and other anticompetitive practices.

Beyond his role in COSAL, Greg makes substantial contributions to the antitrust bar serving in leadership roles in the New York State Bar Association Antitrust Law Section, the ABA’s Diversity Advanced Committee, the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Committee of the New York County Lawyers’ Association.

Greg also serves as the U.S. representative to the Business & Banking Litigation Network and is on the Advisory Board of the American Antitrust Institute.

Sharon Robertson, Vice President

Sharon Robertson is a partner at Cohen Milstein. She is a nationally recognized leader in complex, multi-district class actions, with a particular focus on pharmaceutical antitrust litigation. She is a leader inside the firm as well, serving on the Executive Committee, a past co-chair of the Professional Development and Mentoring Committee, and a member of the Hiring & Diversity Committee.

Catherine Smith, Secretary

Cathy Smith has been practicing complex litigation since 2005 and joined Gustafson Gluek in 2007. Cathy has worked on a wide array of cases including complex antitrust and consumer protection class actions, particularly those involving difficult discovery and legal issues with regard to foreign entity defendants.

In addition to complex antitrust and consumer practice cases, Cathy has handled many pro bono cases, including those through the Federal Pro Se Project, one of many legal service programs strongly supported by Gustafson Gluek. She received the “Distinguished Pro Bono Service Award” in 2010 as well as being recognized as an Attorney of the Year in 2022 for her work on pro bono matters.

David Cialkowski, Treasurer

A Partner at Zimmerman Reed, David Cialkowski is a litigator known for his record of realizing precedent-setting solutions to challenging legal problems. Clients and colleagues value Dave’s empathy and engagement, then come to rely on his abilities as strategist and advocate. Dave’s representations focus on antitrust, consumer protection, and product liability matters and he has more than two decades of experience in complex and class actions

Sarah Frey, Operations Manager

Sarah Frey is a consultant to COSAL, managing events, membership, and communications. She has significant experience in all aspects of nonprofit management and fundraising. She has a proven record of fostering organizational growth and effectively managing large groups and events.

Rose Kohles, Communications Director

Rose Kohles, Vice President at Huntington Bank, serves as the Communications Director for the Committee to Support Antitrust Laws.  Rose manages the internal coordination within the organization and is contributing to several projects that will showcase the importance of private antitrust enforcement.
